![]() STEVE ELKINGTON: So you've sort of- you've sort of set it up to where it's just everything's going to drop. You see where that is separated right there? OK? You see how it's straight and it's forward? Straight, forward, straight, forward. Then the second is the thoracic, right there. Now, I don't let my buttocks push out, go back at all. Now, my lumbar, my lower back I'm going to bend 15 degrees forward from my waist, 15 degrees forward from my waist. Now, the weight is still in the middle of my feet. Now, to lower my legs, I bring my instep in, my knee in, and my thigh in- instep, knee, and thigh. ![]() OK, now that's the next move, here, right here. OK, where- the weight is right in the middle of my feet, right in the middle, boom. STEVE ELKINGTON: Stick your butt the other way, forward. I can go back, stick my butt back out, or I can. And I have a slot here where I just stop, boom. Straight- drop straight down, right, gravity? I can feel my hands, and they go directly to the ground, straight down. And my fingers are pointing to the ground, and my hips and fingers were going directly to the ground. Now when I flex my knees, I put my hands on my hips. So, I want the distance for a driver, for me, it will work if we took from here to here, 16 inches. It's very important we do- do this in order for our feet, ankles, heels, instep to work correctly. And I've taken my right foot, and I've turned it out 10 degrees. Now, I'm taking my right foot, and I've squared it up to my left foot. So what I've done is I've turned the left foot out. OK? It depends upon the flexibility and suppleness. Now if a person's ankle is not supple enough, you can turn it as much as 45. ![]() I'm going to turn this left foot 25 degrees out to the left. Now, I'm going to play the ball one inch off my left heel. I'm going to be close to it, just to show. Now, I'm going to- step into this golf ball. And I'm going to- I'm going to show you the setup without the club. PAUL KOPP: Now- now what we're going to do, we're going to step into this golf ball, OK. Are you going to get me in there today? And not too many people find it in a lifetime. PAUL KOPP: And when you get to that simple solution, it'll blow you away. STEVE ELKINGTON: We took a complex journey to come to a simple solution. It doesn't take any natural ability to do this. And that's what we try to do is really simplify this thing. STEVE ELKINGTON: Now you can go up and around and all over. STEVE ELKINGTON: We want to make that club just slice the apple, as you say. But we're basically teaching our body to make that club move in a straight line, right? STEVE ELKINGTON: And basically, you know, we're going to get out there and get into this. Everything's been taken into consideration. STEVE ELKINGTON: And you pretty much, to the end of the model, right, you- you know when it moves and why it moves. ![]() Basically your whole life, for most of your adult life, you've studied the sequence, of- the sequence being what the joints do while they're doing it. ![]()
